Mitzi Desselles, Ph.D., Vice President

Mitzi Desselles has over twenty years' experience spear-heading successful marketing research programs worldwide. Her quantitative research expertise covers such diverse topics as customer and consumer segmentation, targeting and positioning studies, advertising development, product naming, consumer packaging, and internet site design. She is a skilled moderator, having conducted focus groups and in-depth interviews in nine countries. She typically brings strong business strategy thinking to research projects as well as first rate project management.

Mitzi's career began at Purdue University, where she was on the faculty in organizational psychology and conducted original, theory-driven research in the fields of leadership and applied psychology. She departed academia to join DDB Needham Advertising in Chicago, where she developed advertising for domestic and international clients, including Volkswagen, Discover Card, Maybelline Cosmetics, and Frito-Lay. Mitzi eventually became DDB Needham's Worldwide Vice President of Multinational Research and Planning. From DDB Needham, Mitzi joined Mobil Oil Corporation in their global lubricants division, where she was head of global consumer and customer research.

Mitzi has worked with Denneen & Company for ten years. Her clients range across industries including healthcare, insurance, consumer products, financial services, beverages, and oil and petroleum. Mitzi holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Louisiana State University.
