Jane Alpers, Executive Vice President

Jane Alpers joined Denneen & Company in 2000 with the desire to help clients sharpen their marketing and branding strategy and execution to drive enterprise growth. A classically trained marketer with additional experience in strategic planning roles, Jane combines superior strategic skills with a strong practical streak for turning strategy into action. As executive vice president of Denneen & Company, Jane has teamed with clients across many industries and sectors, including: consumer packaged goods, health care, pharmaceuticals, public transit, oil & petroleum, higher education, technology, manufacturing, and real estate.

Prior to joining Denneen & Company, Jane was vice president of strategy and business planning at Tufts Health Plan (Waltham, Massachusetts). A member of the senior management team, Jane led corporate strategy development efforts, instituted a company-wide planning process, and developed and led implementation of multiple growth initiatives, including key geographic expansion efforts for this million-member managed care company.

Jane spent seven years in marketing management at General Mills (Minneapolis), where her brand experience included Cheerios and Betty Crocker desserts. She developed and introduced award-winning children's fruit snacks, led exploratory work in new food categories, and turned around a flagship brand that had become uncompetitive. She formerly consulted with the Boston office of Ernst & Young, helping hospital clients identify organizational and financial strategies for maximizing state-regulated reimbursement.

She holds an M.B.A. in general management from Stanford Business School and a B.A. in biomedical ethics from Brown University. She is qualified as a Synectics strategic facilitator. Jane is a director of The Boston Club, the city's largest community of senior professional and corporate women, and chairs its research committee. Jane's pro bono work has included strategy development and chief executive coaching for Big Sisters of Greater Boston and The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center for compassionate health care.
